As the year drew to a close, we came together to celebrate the University's annual Apprenticeship Awards, held on Tuesday, 9 December 2025 at the stunning Rhodes House

The Awards recognise the outstanding achievements of our apprentices, alongside the invaluable support of their line managers and training providers. With over 130 nominations received across five awards categories, this year represented our most engaged Apprenticeship Awards to date. This growing participation reflects the University's strong commitment to apprentices and their development, and demonstrates the increasing recognition of apprenticeships within our community.

A strong advocate of apprenticeships, Vice-Chancellor Professor Irene Tracey opened the ceremony for the third consecutive year. Her continued support adds a special and meaningful touch to the event, and we are extremely grateful to her. With the involvement of external stakeholders and local organisations supported through our Levy scheme, the event was once again a great success.

Congratulations to all our winners for setting such a high standard and inspiring the next generation of apprentices.
