My name is Teya Agnese and I am an Apprentice Clinical Trial Support Officer working at the Nuffield Dept. of Orthopaedics, Rheumatology & Musculoskeletal Sciences. I am completing a Level 2 & 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship through Abingdon and Witney College.
I began managing the network to continue the Apprenticeship network community, where we can all use this as a platform to support one another and organise get togethers.
What is the Apprenticeship Networking Group?
The Apprenticeship Networking Group will give you the chance to connect with other apprentices across the University that are all completing a variety of different Apprenticeships at different stages of their course. You can join an Apprenticeship Networking Mailing List where you will be able to receive news regarding Apprenticeship opportunities such as work-shadowing, becoming an Apprenticeship ambassador or any social events happening and any relevant updates.
Termly sessions (at the moment these are held online) are held during work to discuss college, work-life, your Apprenticeship, personal development and different career pathways. It’s a great opportunity to network with other apprentices participating in the same or a similar course as you and take part in engaging activites. There will always be others at the network meetings who can offer you helpful advice, answer any questions you may have and that can support you throughout your course.
How will the Apprenticeship Network benefit you?
Equally, as apprentices, our departments value our professional development. So this is the perfect way to progress your communication skills, add the networking sessions you’ve attended and skills you’ve learnt to your ‘off-the-job’ training, and add your involvement to your CV.
